Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and organized IT Coordinator to support the IT department in managing employee IT assets and handling various non-technical IT-related tasks. This role ensures smooth asset distribution, basic PC setup, and administrative support for efficient IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Asset Management:
    • Receive, record, and issue IT equipment such as laptops, monitors, phones, and accessories to employees.
    • Track inventory of IT assets and maintain up-to-date records of asset allocation and returns.
    • Coordinate with procurement for replenishment or upgrades of IT equipment.
    • Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and documentation of all assets.
  • Employee Onboarding & Offboarding Support:
    • Prepare and deliver IT kits (laptop, Mobiles, etc.) for new employees.
    • Collect IT assets from departing employees and ensure all returns are documented.
  • Basic PC Setup:
    • Install and configure basic software and system settings on employee computers (e.g., user account setup, Microsoft Office installation, email setup, printers).
    • Ensure the system is ready for use before handover.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed records of IT requests, asset logs, and user acknowledgments.
    • Generate regular inventory and asset lifecycle reports.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Assist in budgeting, invoicing, and tracking of IT-related purchases and expenses.
    • Maintain records of IT contracts, warranties, and service agreements.
    • Organize IT storage areas and ensure proper arrangement of equipment.

Requirements:

  • Experience in administrative or coordination roles, ideally within IT or asset management.
  • Familiarity with common IT hardware and basic software installation.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage asset tracking accurately.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel).
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using IT asset management software.
  • Basic technical knowledge of PC operating systems and standard applications.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field.
